Free SEO Writing Toolkit

In the Hunt of Free SEO Writing Toolkit for Starters

Every writer who cares about getting their content noticed online knows one thing – SEO is the key. But let’s be honest, SEO is like solving a puzzle. The one that writers have to solve without all the pieces.

Why? Because SEO trends are evolving day to day.

Writers have to align their strategies with these trends. To create engaging SEO content, writers often get assistance from different online tools.

However, switching between multiple tools is frustrating and time-consuming.

I realized it was time to find some backup for writers, like a proper toolkit that provides essential tools in one place.

So, the hunt began for a free SEO writing toolkit that converts all the essentials.

The Criteria for the Ideal Toolkit

When searching for the perfect SEO writing toolkit, I knew it needed to check several boxes.

Just having one or two features wouldn’t cut it. I needed a complete set to help write content that’s well-optimized for search engines. Plus, it had to be simple enough for beginners to use.

Below are the criteria I decided to stick to while searching for the toolkit.

  • Free to use
  • Simple interface
  • Offer tools that can assist from beginning to finalizing

With these criteria in mind, I set out on my search for the SEO writing toolkit.

The Research Journey

I began by exploring several online tools, hoping to find one that could fulfill my criteria.

But things didn’t go as smoothly as I thought.

Some tools were fantastic for specific tasks, like detecting plagiarism or checking readability. Others were just too complicated or required subscriptions.

It quickly became clear that finding one complete solution was going to be tough.

In the process, I found many fragmented tools that worked well on their own. But the problem is that they lacked the all-in-one convenience I was searching for.

But just when it felt like the search was never-ending, I finally found Editpadan online notepad with a comprehensive set of writing assistive tools.

Editpad – A Free SEO Writing Toolkit

Upon visiting it, initially, I thought of it as a simple online notepad with basic editing features. But when I explored it further, I discovered various other writing assistance tools.

After spending time exploring it, I can say that it stood out for bringing multiple tools together in one place. Of course, I cannot claim that all its tools are perfect, some have limitations. But a few stood out for their effectiveness and ease of use.

Below, you’ll see the tools that truly caught my attention and can be helpful while writing search-engine-optimized content.

1. Title Generator

When writing content for the web, you can’t ignore the importance of titles. As it’s the first thing that captures the attention of the audience. That’s why writers always have to craft titles that are short but attractive.

According to blogging statistics by OptinMonster, titles that are between 6 and 13 words tend to get the highest amount of traffic.

But crafting titles that are optimized for search engines and the audience alike is not an instant decision to make.

Writers have to consider the following things while crafting an SEO-optimized title:

  • Must be unique
  • Attract the audience
  • Reasonable length

To craft such SEO-friendly titles writers have to spend a handsome amount of time on research. That is where the Title Generator tool by Editpad comes in for assistance.

Upon providing the keyword this free tool can provide you with 15 different unique titles in different categories i.e., guide, listicle, questions, etc.

To show you I have inputted a keyword inside the tool, and it provided me with 15 unique titles which I can use for writing a blog post.

2. Blog Outline Generator

No one understands the importance of a blog outline other than an SEO writer. At Rankvise, our writing team leader often says, “If we have the blog outline ready, this means half of the work is completed.”

Crafting a blog outline sometimes takes more time than writing the whole blog post. Writers have to read dozens of articles to make a perfect outline. But that’s the old-day talk. The blog outline generator tool by Editpad will make the process easier for you.

Upon providing the topic, it’ll craft a sensible outline in seconds. To add more sections, you can generate multiple outlines and combine them as needed.

To show you I have provided the tool with a title generated in the previous section and it has generated a good outline.

3. Paragraph Generator

I have seen writers staring at a blank page, waiting for words to flow, but nothing comes. Writer’s block can strike at the worst times, making it hard to kickstart your thoughts.

That’s where Editpad’s Paragraph Generator comes in as a good assistant.

When ideas aren’t flowing, just put in your topic, and this tool will generate a paragraph to get you going.

Let me explain with an example.

Suppose you are stuck writing about technical SEO. Simply, go to the tool, input the topic, and generate some paragraphs, as I did below.

While it’s not perfect (I mean it sounds robotic), it still sparks fresh ideas and gives a boost when creativity feels out of reach.

4. Text Paraphraser

It’s generally suggested that if you are writing content for the web, you should write it like even a 7th-grade student can understand it easily. When in flow, writers sometimes make use of high vocabulary, which makes their content difficult to read and understand. Then they have to rephrase the section that is tough to read.

Likewise, another issue for starters is that they face difficulty in bringing a consistent tone to their content.

The paraphrasing tool by Editpad can help resolve both these issues smartly.

For example, if you have to bring in a consistent tone inside your content or make a paragraph simple to read. Simply, input the content inside the tool and rephrase it using the desired mode.

To show you, I have rephrased a difficult paragraph into a simple one

This is what I got:

5. Text Summarizer

In SEO writing it is not recommended to write lengthy paragraphs. Readers don’t like the content that is difficult to skim. It is recommended to keep the length of paragraphs between 3 and 5 sentences.

Being a starter, if you fail to write concise paragraphs, there’s no need to worry. It also offers a solution for this. Just keep writing in your natural way. Once finished, copy the ones that you think are too lengthy and want to make them concise or convert them into bullet points.

To show you, I have summarized a paragraph describing the benefits of technical SEO into bullet points. See how perfectly this tool has done the work.

6. FAQ Generator

Adding FAQs inside content is considered a good strategy from an SEO point of view. It increases your chances of showing up in SERPs. But coming up with meaningful questions isn’t always easy. Sometimes writers struggle to find what their audience might ask.

This is where they can get assistance from the FAQ Generator tool by Editpad. All you need to do is simply enter the topic inside the tool and choose the number of questions you need. That’s it, the tool will generate multiple questions with optimized answers that align with your topic.

To show you I have generated 5 FAQs related to technical SEO. Here’s what I got from the tool.

See yourself, besides making relevant FAQs, this tool has also provided optimized answers. But I think that the sentences for answers are too long. So, before publishing do make some changes in the sentence structure

7. Conclusion Generator

Concluding a blog post can sometimes be as challenging as starting one. After pouring energy into crafting the content, finding the right words to leave a lasting impression isn’t always easy for writers.

But the Conclusion Generator tool by Editpad seems to be a helpful assistant in this scenario. Simply provide your content to the tool and hit the generate button. The tool will craft a conclusion for you that with some little tweaks you can use inside your content.

To test the tool I have provided it with a blog post about technical SEO. Below is the conclusion it had generated for me.

See yourself, the conclusion generated by the tool is not that bad. For me, it’s just a bit lengthy. With a bit of tweak or elimination, it can become a perfect conclusion paragraph.

8. Meta Description Generator

Meta descriptions do not impact the ranking of a web page or article but they can make or break your click-through rates. It’s that brief snippet under your title on search engine results that convinces readers to click.

Crafting one that’s both engaging and keyword-rich can be tricky. Meta Description Generator simplifies the process. Just input your topic, choose several variants, and get concise, SEO-friendly suggestions.

For example, if you’re writing a post on “What is technical SEO,” the tool will give you sensible suggestions like:

See yourself, won’t the suggestions be simple, engaging, and search-engine-ready?

9. Grammar Checker

The next tool that caught my attention on was its Grammar Checker. It scans your text for grammatical errors and punctuation mistakes. Besides highlighting mistakes, this tool also gives real-time suggestions to eliminate errors.

Even the best writers can slip up when it comes to grammar. A small mistake can distract readers and hurt your content’s credibility. To get rid of it, simply paste your content inside the tool, and it’ll highlight errors with suggested corrections as shown in the image below.

10. Text Humanizer

Text humanizing tools, no one can understand their importance other than today’s SEO writers. The reason is the rise of generative AI tools. Search engines have also restricted their criteria for AI content. That is why writers have to make sure that their content is not being flagged by AI detectors, which sometimes even flag human-written content only because of high vocabulary and robotic tone.

But some people are mistaken here. They only relate text humanizing tools with AI detection. Well, that’s not the true thing. You can use them to remove robotic tones and make your content sound more human and simpler to read.

One such is Text Humanizer tool. Upon testing, I found this tool quite useful. However, in some attempts, it failed to humanize the content. Well, as they say, there’s always room for improvement.

Below I have shared the screenshot of content that this tool helped me to make sound more human

11. Plagiarism Checker

Originality is the heart of great content. But with so much information available online, unintentional plagiarism can happen. That’s where Plagiarism Checker steps in. It scans your content against countless online sources to detect any duplicated text.

Simply paste your writing, and the tool provides a detailed report highlighting any matching sections. This is especially helpful for writers who want to ensure their work is 100% unique before publishing.

To demonstrate I have added a published article inside the tool to check whether it detects it or not. And here are the results, the tool has perfectly matched the text with its exact source

While no tool is perfect, Editpad’s checker still offers somewhat reliable results.

What Makes Me Stop at Editpad?

Below I have shared the things that I liked about Editpad and the reasons behind my stopping at it.

  • All the tools are simple to use. Just provide input and hit the action button. That’s it.
  • All the tools that I have tested till now allow me to download the output for free.
  • Many of the tools are multilingual.
  • The majority of the tools I tested are giving good outputs except for a few.

Bottom Line

My hunt proves to be a valuable discovery for SEO writers seeking a comprehensive and free toolkit. With its wide range of user-friendly tools, it simplifies various writing tasks. While some tools have room for improvement, their overall convenience and effectiveness make them a go-to solution for SEO writers. Give it a try and if found beneficial do not forget to share it with others.
